Register as a patient

We are taking new patients. Registration takes about five minutes online.

The NHS registration service passes your details to us. You do not need to tell your current practice — records are transferred for you once you register.

Who can register

Anyone living in our practice area: SW8, SW11 and SE11. Check your postcode before starting. If you live outside the area you may still register as an out-of-area patient, but you will not get home visits.

We do not check immigration status and do not share details with the Home Office. Anyone can register, including people with no fixed abode, refugees and people seeking asylum.

What to bring

  • Photo identification, if you have it
  • A document dated within the last three months showing your address, if you have one
  • The name and address of your previous GP, if you have one

If you have neither document, register anyway. We will register you and ask for papers later.

What happens after you register

We send a registration confirmation within five working days, and invite you for a new-patient check within two weeks. The check is with the nurse: blood pressure, weight, and a look at any medicines you take.

Registering from overseas

If you have moved to the UK, you have full access to NHS primary care whatever your immigration status. Bring your passport and any vaccination record. If you have been treated abroad, ask for a copy of your summary record — it saves repeating tests.

Temporary residents

Staying in the area for up to 30 days and need care? You can register as a temporary resident. Ask reception. Hospital care as a temporary visitor may be charged; GP appointments are free.

Out-of-area registration

Outside SW8, SW11 and SE11 you can still register, but home visits are not provided. Distances are at our discretion; the boundary is roughly Vauxhall, Battersea Park, Kennington and Elephant and Castle.

Changing practice

You can register here without telling your current practice. We notify them and they send the record on. Allow two weeks for records to transfer.
