Appointments

We are appointment-only. Reception opens at 08:00 and the phone queue is busiest before 10:00.

Important: If you need help today

Call reception on 020 7946 0812. When we are closed, call 111. Call 999 for chest pain, severe bleeding, stroke symptoms or breathing difficulty.

How to get an appointment

Phone reception on 020 7946 0812, call in, or use the NHS App. Tell reception what the problem is — that is how the right clinician and the right length of appointment get booked.

Appointments are face-to-face, by telephone or by video. You can ask for any of the three; a telephone call is often enough for a review, a result or a medication query.

Same-day problems

A duty doctor triages same-day requests from 08:00 to 11:00 and again from 14:00. Where the problem cannot wait, triage books it — usually a telephone call first, then a face-to-face appointment if the clinician needs to see you.

Routine appointments

Routine slots open two weeks ahead. Book the type of appointment the problem needs: a single-issue slot is 10 minutes, a review of several long-term conditions is 20. If you need longer, say so at booking.

Extended hours

Thursday 18:30 to 20:00 and Saturday 09:00 to 12:30 are pre-booked only, for patients who cannot attend during the working day. These sessions are not for urgent problems.

Who you will see

You may ask for a particular GP. Where continuity matters — frailty, end-of-life care, a long-standing mental health problem — say so and reception will hold the request for that clinician's next available slot. Otherwise you will be offered the first available appointment, often with the advanced nurse practitioner or the clinical pharmacist.

Changing or cancelling

Cancel as early as you can. Each missed appointment costs the practice about £32 and takes a slot from someone else. Two missed appointments in a year and reception will ask you to confirm future bookings.

Bringing someone with you

You may bring a relative, friend or carer to any appointment, and an interpreter can be booked free through reception with a week's notice. British Sign Language interpretation is available for booked appointments.

Home visits

Ask before 10:30 if you need a home visit. Housebound patients, and those whose illness makes travel impractical, are visited. The clinician decides whether a visit is clinically needed; being without transport is not on its own a reason.

Give the receptionist the address, the reason, and a phone number. Visits run from about 13:00.

If you are late

Arrive within 10 minutes. After that the slot has usually gone and you may be asked to rebook, or seen at the end of the session if the clinician can fit you in.

When we are closed

Between 18:30 and 08:00 on weekdays, at weekends and on bank holidays, call 111 free of charge. NHS 111 can arrange a consultation at an extended-access hub, a home visit if you cannot travel, or emergency dental treatment.

Call 999 for a life-threatening emergency: chest pain, severe bleeding that will not stop, stroke symptoms, breathing difficulty, fits that will not stop, or a collapse.

Pharmacies can help with minor ailments without an appointment. Find one at nhs.uk.
